The performers…..

Anna Goodhew soprano achieved her BMus (1st class Hons) and Guildhall Artist Masters at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.  Since leaving, her opera credits have included Violetta (La Traviata) (Brent Opera), Contessa (Le Nozze di Figaro) (Debut), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) (Guildford Opera Company) and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) (Zêzere Arts Festival, Portugal).  Anna enjoys performing a varied concert repertoire, personal highlights being Jonathan Miller’s production of St Matthew Passion (National Theatre), Mahler’s 4th Symphony (St James’ Piccadilly) and Ian Burnside’s Lads in their Hundreds which featured on Radio 3’s “In Tune”.

Ambrose Connolly is a lyric baritone. He graduated from University College London with a BA in Russian and French before moving to Russia to study Opera at the Kazan State Conservatory under the tutelage of Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Laider. He was the winner of the 2020 Serebranie Rosi International Opera Singing Competition. Ambrose has recently completed a Masters in Advanced Vocal Studies at the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff, under the direction of Dennis O’Neill OBE. He was one of eight young singers selected to attend the Glyndebourne Academy in 2021.


Kevin John tenor studied singing and piano at the Royal Academy of Music and began his professional career with the Glyndebourne Opera chorus, and made his professional debut there as an understudy. He subsequently worked for Opera 80, Northern Ireland Opera, Kent Opera and covered roles for ENO and Opera North as well as singing in France, Spain and the Middle East and recording for Opera Rara on a series devoted to early Italian opera. He has worked with conductors and directors who include Sir Simon Rattle, Raymond Leppard, David Parry, Roger Norrington, John Copley, Giancarlo Menotti, John Cox and Nicholas Hytner.  

Kevin has long been associated with Guildford Opera as a previous Music Director, Stage Director and as soloist.

Judith Flint L.R.A.M.  – Accompanist – Judith studied piano accompanying, clarinet and singing at the Royal Academy of Music. Since leaving in 1976, she has worked as a freelance accompanist for singers and instrumentalists, and as a rehearsal pianist for choral, opera and dance groups. Judith now lives in New Malden, Surrey and is rehearsal pianist for Park Opera, and Guildford Opera.  She is also a regular accompanist for concerts arranged by Music in Hospitals.
