Costumes for all occasions
Hiring costumes for shows can be a major item of expenditure, but Guildford Opera Company has built up a large collection of costumes over the years, looked after by our own Kris Benjafield.
Guildford Opera tries not to hire in too many costumes for a show, but where possible we utilise existing stocks, altering or making new costumes as required.
They are available for hire at reasonable rates. So if you are putting on a Play, a Musical, a Pantomime or Fancy Dress we may well be in a position to help you !
Kris is often in need of help with costumes, and if you have any expertise in dressmaking, live locally and can spare some time, we would be very appreciative of extra help, especially in the period approaching performances!

Opera Translations
Are you looking for an English version of an opera or operetta?
We are able to hire out vocal scores in working English translations for a number of operas and operettas. Some of these were produced by Peter Clarke, an experienced singer and arranger, and we have his license to promote his scores.
In recent years Guildford Opera Company has performed English versions by Peter Melville, and these have been developed, tried and tested in performance.
